What is the planet Nibiru? What is the theory for 2012?
Nibiru is a theoretical orbital planet in our solar system that makes a periodical orbital pass of Earth. The Ancient Sumerians coined the name 'Nibiru' for the comet planet in 4500BC.
In science, it is generally accepted that Nibiru has a 3600 year elliptical orbit. There are, however, many who calculate the orbit duration using the 'Sumerian sexigesimal system' of numbers believe it to be 2160.
Let's presume for a moment that the orbit is 2160 years in duration, we are able to look back and look at the previous events of the orbital passes of Planet X...
4000 years ago there was the great flood
6000 years ago Sumerian civilisation witnessed the orbital pass
8000 years ago there was a great tsunami
12000 years ago there was an asteroid impact
16000 years ago there was the Ice Age
Clearly, a significant event conincides with every other passing of Nibiru and as the next orbital pass of the planet Nibiru is due in 2012, is there a mass coverup being carried out by our governments?
The Ancient Sumerians state that the bias upon the orbit of Nibiru is such that it only comes close enough to earth to have any effect every other orbit.
Is there evidence of of Nibiru? What has NASA said?
The theory of the tenth planet may be darkly interesting but it is often dismissed due to the lack of evidence or comment from NASA.
There have been many reports in the media of the quest for and possible evidence of Nibiru.
NASA themselves have officially recognized the possibility of Planet X / Nibiru. They recently announced that far beyond the outer planets in our galaxy there could be a mystery object or planet.
Just one year later, the newly launched IRAS (Infrared Astronomical Satellite) spotted a large mysterious object in the depths of space.
One thing that we do know is that NASA fear a comet impact, on January 12th 2005, NASA launched there "Deep Impact" project. The aim of this project was to fire a rocket into and destroy Comet Temple 1 on July 4th 2005. Many people believe this coudl be target practice for Nibiru.
NASA and other space exploration organizations commonly discover or come across new planets and comets. This makes it much more tangible that there could be mystery planets in line with our orbit.
